Watermelonade

Colorful, juicy watermelons are everywhere, this time of year. This juicy fruit is just perfect for hot summer days. I add it to anything that I can add it to; it is so refreshing and tasty. What is even better is that watermelons are sweet by nature, so you don’t have to add any extra sugar to it.

It’s a perfect healthy combination, lemons and watermelon: lemons are a great source of vitamin C. they are rich in folate, fiber and potassium. And for the watermelons, it is a great source of pure water and because of its high water content; watermelons are lower in calories than any other fruit. It has significant levels of vitamins A, B6 and C, as well as lots of antioxidants and amino acids.

Make sure to choose a red sweet watermelon to enjoy this lemonade to the maximum.

Notes:

*you can filter the smoothie into a more clear juice if you don’t like to have those big fleshes of lemon and watermelon, but use a big colander to do that.

* You can store this drink up to 3 days in a close bottle or jar in the fridge.

* If you like your lemonade more sweet, you can go ahead and add 1 Tbsp. of honey or some artificial sweetener of your choice.
