Red Apple Smoothie

You know the saying: “one apple a day keeps the doctor away”?!

Well, here is your new and favorite way of having an apple-a-day.

It tastes just like your mum’s apple pie, yet very healthy. It is a great boost of energy to start your day.

It’s a very quick and easy breakfast like all the others smoothies I am making this season and yet very rich of nutrition that will keep you energized till lunch.

Apples, in their season especially, just taste absolutely perfect and sweet. It is a creamy very tasty smoothie that works great with kids. Kids will absolutely love this; it is not only tasty and sweet but also very healthy and good for their growing body. Now with the schools coming up, just throw those fruits in the blender for 1 minute and your breakfast is served!

Ingredients:

  • 1 red apple with skin
  • ½ frozen banana
  • 1 tbsp. raisin soaked in water (for more info on raisin )
  • ½  tsp. cinnamon
  • ½ cup organic cranberry juice. (sugar free )
  • 5 raw almond
  • 5 raw walnuts (for more info on walnuts )
  • ¼ tsp. nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp. fresh grated ginger*

Instructions:

Pour all ingredients in blender, and mix on high speed till smooth, serve and enjoy!

Notes:

*for the ginger don’t overdo it , it will ruin the taste of the smoothie specially because it is fresh and if you don’t have fresh ginger on hand just use a pinch of ginger powder.
