I am going to share with you few quick easy bites to pull out in no time when you have some people over.
Today recipe is very authentic and traditional appetizers but with a twist. My guest didn’t even get close to what is in it from there colorful presentation.
And what is even better that I prepare a big batch and store it in the freezer so whenever you have unexpected dinner or people coming over you can assemble it in no time!
Threeway Hummus Bites
Ingredients
- 2 pack salted crackers biscuits like TUC or RITZ
Basic Hummus
- 1 cup chickpeas cooked and drained
- 3 tbsp lemon juice fresh
- 2 tbsp tahini organic
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1-2 tbsp hot water if needed
Green Hummus
- 1/2 cup baby spinach washed and drained
- 1 tbsp parsley washed and drained
Red Hummus
- 1/2 cup sundried tomato with their oil
- 1 tbsp sweet paprika powder
- 1 tsp red chili flakes potional
Instructions
Basic Hummus
- Rinse chickpeas and blend in a food processor until powder-like.Add lemon juice, tahini, garlic cloves, salt and cumin and blend until smooth.While blending, slowly add boiling water until the texture becomes smooth and creamy.
Green Hummus
- Do the same step as the basic hummus add the spinach and parsley and blend again until hummus becomes light green.
Red Hummus
- Do the same step as the basic hummus add the sundried tomato, red chili flakes and sweet paprika, and blend again until hummus becomes orangey-red.
For Serving
- Scoop about ½ tbsp. of any of the three colors on top of salted cracker and garnish with extra ingredients (lemon slices, parsley and sundried tomatoes)
