Peachy Smoothie

One of the most beautiful and colorful fruits of this season is peach!

This tropical-tasting fruit added to some ingredients in a smoothie is going to make you feel like you are on an island vacation soaking up the sun even if you are stuck in rush hour traffic going to your long day at work.

Here is a small advice: you are going to miss these colorful tasteful fruits in the cold winter, so if you happen to get your hands on an extra basket of peach: wash them, cut them into cubes and freeze them in zip lock bags for an extra color to your winter smoothie. It can stay up to 6 months in the freezer.

Peaches hide a lot of benefits behind its colorful and beautiful skin. They are rich in minerals such as calcium, potassium, magnesium, iron, and manganese. They are also low in calories, contain no saturated fat or cholesterol and are a very good source of dietary fiber.

If you are trying to get back on track and loose those extra kilos you gained because of summer parties and beaches, it’s the perfect smoothie to detoxify your body. It is low in calories, low in fat, but high in fiber which helps manage your weight.

I don’t really need to talk a lot about this smoothie, just look at it! Its colorful and creamy texture. So come on stop being lazy, get up and blend some peaches and start your day fresh!

Ingredients:

  • 1 frozen peach.*
  • 1 Tbsp. Raisin
  • ½ Cup almond milk
  • ½ Cup Aloe Vera
  • 1 tsp. Psyllium Husk.*

Instructions:

Pour all ingredients in blender, and mix on high speed till smooth, serve and enjoy!

Serving Size: 1 smoothie • Calories: 145 • Fat: 1 g • Carbs: 30 g • Fiber: 10 g • Protein: 2 g

Notes:

  • Wash the peach and cut into cubes the night before and freeze to use the next morning. You can do a big batch and keep it in the freezer for later use also.
  • If you can’t find Psyllium husk just add a Tbsp. of chia seeds or flax seed. It contains a lot of fibers to boost your digestive system and help you managing weight.
