Indoor grilling made easy with 12-min air fryer chicken skewers. Avoid the heat, enjoy tender results. Elevate with zesty mayo basting for irresistible flavor. Summer satisfaction in every bite.
Mix all the marinate ingredients well together. Add the chicken cubes to the margination and mix well until all the chicken cubes are covered with the sauce. (It is better to let the chicken marinate for minimum 15 minutes to 12 hours, but if you can wait you can proceed directly after marination after 15 minutes.)
Step 02: make the mayonnaise sauce
Mix all the ingredients of the mayonnaise sauce and set aside.
Step 03: threading the chicken
Thread the chicken cubes into the presoaked bamboo skewers. (see notes)
Step 04: brush the chicken skewers
After finishing all the skewers. Preheat your air-fryer to 200 C◦ for 12 minutes. Brush the skewers with some of the mayo sauce you prepared, and set aside for air frying
Step 05: air fry the chicken skewers
Add the chicken skewers in one layer in the air fryer basket and cook for 6 minutes on one side than flip and cook another 6 minutes on the other side.
Step 06: spread and enjoy!
After the cooking time is done the internal temperature of the chicken should be 75C◦ and the chicken should look lightly browned. Remove from the air fryer and brush it immediately for more of the mayo sauce. Serve with your favorite side dish (you can check the article above for inspirations) , enjoy!

Notes
Chicken: you can use any cut of chicken you like instead of breasts, I usually use boneless chicken breast or thighs.
Marination: you can marinate the chicken for only 15 minutes but it is better to do it for 2 hours or up to 12 hours (overnight)
Freezer friendly: you can marinate the chicken and freeze to use later on. Just mix all the ingredients of the marination add the chicken cubes and mix all together and freeze in a ziplock bag for up to 3 months. When ready to use, defrost overnight in the fridge. Or Immerse the bag in a bowl of cold water (with a heavy item on top to submerge the bag). Let it sit for 2 hours.
Bamboo skewers: make sure to soak the bamboo skewers before using the air-fryer. Soaking them in water for at least 30 minutes to an hour before using them helps prevent them from burning during the cooking process.
Variation: you can add any veggies you like with the chicken in the skewers for more colorful skewers.
